Asset Types

Assets in the Odude ecosystem are categorized into four main types, each serving a specific purpose and offering unique features for both the issuer and the recipient.

1. Badge

Badges are used for social recognition, achievements, and membership status.

• Uses: Community milestones, “Early Adopter” status, or contribution awards.
• Display: Typically displayed as small icons on the user’s profile card or sidebar.
• Value: Establishes social proof and reputation within the platform.

2. Certificate

Certificates represent official verification of skills, completion of courses, or formal credentials.

• Uses: Course completion, identity verification, or professional endorsements.
• Features: Often contains metadata like “Issue Date” and “Expiry Date.”
• Display: Shown as a formal document or a verified badge on the profile.

3. Ticket

Tickets provide access rights to events, digital content, or physical venues.

• Uses: Webinar access, VIP area entry, or physical event check-ins.
• Features: Can be “scanned” or “validated” by designated agents.
• Display: Usually features a QR code or a unique access key when viewed in detail.

4. Coupon

Coupons are promotional assets that offer discounts or special deals.

• Uses: 20% off at the Marketplace, free trial keys, or partner discounts.
• Features: Includes “Redeem” logic and expiration tracking.
• Display: Shows the discount value and a “Redeem” button for the user.
